iVisitor Support for Internet Explorer

This is a brief update to answer questions concerning Veristream's support for Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browser.  Veristream is changing the versions of Internet Explorer that are supported by the iVisitor web application.

 

What is the change?

Veristream will stop supporting older versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  • iVisitor will stop supporting Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 or version 8
  • iVisitor will only support Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 9 and above 

 

How will this affect me and my organization?

Effective August 31, 2016, anyone using an unsupported version of Internet Explorer will not be able to log into iVisitor.  This includes:

  • Employees
  • Receptionists
  • Security Personnel
  • Kiosks 

 

How do I know if I am impacted?

You will only be impacted if you use Internet Explorer to access the iVisitor web application.  If you, or anyone in your organization, are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, use the following steps to identify your current Internet Explorer version:

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click Help and then select About Internet Explorer
  3. A window should display the current version of Internet Explorer

 

What action must I take?

Any computer that is identified as running Microsoft Internet Explorer version 8 or lower must be upgraded to run Microsoft Internet Explorer version 9 or above.  This may require an upgrade of your Microsoft Windows Operating System.

Note: Veristream expects that support for Microsoft Internet Explorer version 9 will terminate on December 31, 2016.  We strongly suggest that, if you have to upgrade your Microsoft Windows Operating System, you upgrade to a version that supports Microsoft Internet Explorer version 10 or later. 

 

When will the change occur?

On August 31, 2016, iVisitor will stop supporting any Microsoft Internet Explorer browser that is not version 9 or higher.
